Gunfire Erupts at Los Banos Bar, Leaving One Dead
Early Morning Shooting Investigation – Arrest Made
On December 13, 2025 at 12:14 a.m., the Los Banos Police Department responded to reports of a shooting following a disturbance at a bar located in the 500 block of I Street.
Upon arrival, officers located three adult male victims who had sustained gunshot injuries All three victims were transported to Modesto area hospitals for medical treatment. One of the victims is believed to have sustained life threatening wounds.
Through a coordinated investigation, detectives were able to identify a suspect involved in the incident. An arrest has since been made, Reis Willis-19 (of Dos Palos) was taken into custody attempting to flee the area. The firearm believed to be involved was also recovered.
This incident appears to have stemmed from an isolated disturbance.
The investigation remains active, and additional details will be released as they become available.

Update
Tragically, one of the shooting victims in this investigation has succumbed to his injuries, as such Reis Willis (19) charges have been updated to reflect homicide.
On December 16 and 17, Los Banos Police Detectives and the Gang Unit worked with the Merced County SWAT team in a joint operation to take David Uriel Estrada (29) and Renee Valencia Carrasco (35), both of Dos Palos, Ca. into custody.
Estrada and Carrasco were found to be in connection with our December 13th homicide that occurred in the 500 block of I Street. Both Estrada and Carrasco were arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail for 187 PC-Murder.
This senseless violent action reflects the City of Los Banos first reported homicide of the year.
